The terrain around Tin Hut offers some great opportunities for exploring and for getting some turns in. There are runs to be had down from Gungartan (2068m) and off Disappointment Ridge down into Finns River. From Tin Hut you can venture north making your way to Jagungal and beyond via any number of routes.
